This time we have succeeded in producing and remelting the alloy Fe-Ni-Cr RAVNE 4980, known under the trade name A-286.
Due to the limitations of equipment it has been several decades since Metal Ravne has last produced an alloy. The installation of VOD has enabled the production of certain alloys among other things. The first alloy we produced is 286, which is still based on Fe. We have a wealth of experience with alloy remelting, hot and cold processing, heat treatment and machining, as Metal Ravne has been providing these services for some decades now. However, the challenge presented by the RAVNE 4980 alloy was a first and we faced it successfully.
